NAACP

FOUNDED OVER 70 YEARS AGO,

A LEADER IN CIVIL RIGHTS

Founded in 1909, the NAACP is the nation's oldest and largest civil rights organization. From the ballot box to the classroom, the thousands of dedicated workers, organizers, leaders and members who make up the NAACP continue to fight for social justice for all Americans. The Virginia Beach branch was founded over 70 years ago. In those many years the branch has been a vocal community leader for civil rights of those in the Virginia Beach area. The branch has opened doors for minorities in city leadership, kept a watchful eye on the city education system for our children, pushed for economic equality in city procurement and many other community causes. Become a member today and join our cause for civil rights for all.
